At Food Perspectives, Inc. (FPI) our qualitative and quantitative consumer product research facility extends more than 12,000 square feet to allow you ample space and flexibility for your consumer testing. The FPI testing facility can easily accommodate product research on a wide range of consumer-packaged goods, including food, beverages, household products and industrial equipment.

Your Research in an Accommodating Space

At FPI we have four qualitative and quantitative research and testing spaces to serve your consumer testing needs.
  • Voyageur Viewing Roomour granddaddy of research suites. This room allows you to view up to three spaces simultaneously - the Voyageur Multipurpose Room, the Itasca Test Kitchen and the Superior Testing Room.

  • Pipestone Suitethis qualitative suite comfortably seats 12 in its viewing room and is adjacent to our Pipestone Multipurpose Room.

  • Loring Park Suite: boasts a large viewing area attached to four small 8' x 7' research rooms that are ideal for individual product demonstrations, product interactions and one-to-one respondent interviews. Your team can watch each room simultaneously or focus on a single room during particularly insightful feedback.

  • Superior Room:  FPI's large quantitative testing room. Can accommodate up to 60 respondents per session. The Superior testing room allows for a wide variety of technology, including laptops, iPads and other electronic devices. Expandable dividers make the Superior Room a highly flexible testing space.

Consumer Research Product Preparation & Testing

When it comes to preparing and testing product for your consumer research study, you will find endless possibilities when you have the flexibility and functionality of two fully equipped commercial kitchens. Our kitchens can accommodate any type of equipment and have configurable amenities at the ready such as:

  • Double stack ovens
  • Microwaves
  • Commercial pizza ovens
  • Refrigerators, freezers
  • Convection ovens
  • More than 33' of hood space, up to 66" depth with 12,100 CFM
  • Fryers
  • Gas burner units
  • Stainless steel flexible work tables
  • 2" gas pipe capable of 1.2 million BTU

In addition, we have a large walk-in refrigerator and walk-in freezer, complete with generator backup, ensuring the proper temperature storage of your product.
