Nancy Eicher

Nancy Eicher is President and CEO of Food Perspectives. Her 30-year career in the food industry includes positions in Sensory Science, Consumer Research, Manufacturing and Product Development. Before purchasing FPI, Nancy worked for the Fortune 100 food companies General Mills, Pillsbury and ConAgra Foods, in research, management and strategic roles.  She led a variety of programs including Product Innovation, Exploratory Consumer Research, Analytical and Manufacturing Sensory, and Consumer Product Testing.

At Food Perspectives, Nancy focuses her time working with clients. Her deep knowledge of product and consumer testing is applied to ensure each client has the best approach and insights to solve their problem. Nancy has been deeply involved in IFT’s Sensory and Consumer Sciences Division, serving as Chair in 2010-11.  She is also involved in the Society of Sensory Professionals. 

Nancy has her B.S. and M.S in Food Science from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. In addition to her alumni affiliation, Lincoln Nebraska is her hometown.  The lasting influence is red as her favorite color and a rabid interest in all things Husker. 

Well known for her enthusiasm and passion about the application of consumer learning to make great products, few know this carries over into Nancy’s home life, where she is equally passionate about gardening and home remodeling.  Be it with a spade or hammer, something always needs a make-over!
